Miele repairs across Brisbane
Washing machines, dishwashers, ovens and cooktops: Quality Appliance Repairs covers the full Miele range across metropolitan Brisbane. Same-day appointments are available in most suburbs, and most jobs are wrapped up in a single visit.
Miele is a German family-owned premium domestic brand, founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann and still run by their descendants today. It’s one of the more common premium brands we service across Brisbane, and the appliances are built to a high standard, which shows in what we see: the vast majority of faults are down to a single worn part, such as a drain pump, Aquastop hose or inlet valve, rather than anything close to a write-off.
✓ Authorised to Repair Miele Appliances: We’re authorised to carry out Miele repairs, meaning we can handle manufacturer warranty work as well as out-of-warranty repairs, using genuine Miele parts.
LG Appliance We Repair
Miele is one of the most common premium brands we service across Brisbane, and dishwashers and washing machines make up the largest share of our Miele callouts. The following categories are drawn from our job logs.
Dishwasher
Under-bench and freestanding. Most common fault: drain pump or filter blockages, along with aquastop hose leaks and water flow meter faults triggering error codes like F11 or F12.
Washing Machine
Front loaders. Most common fault: drain pump or filter blockages, along with water inlet valve faults and foreign objects lodged in the pump.
Oven
Built-in. Most common fault: temperature control component failures (encoder and knob assembly), along with door hinge and interlock issues.
Dryer
Most common fault: heating faults involving the relay board and temperature sensor, along with simpler mechanical faults like a dislodged program selector knob.
Cooktops
Induction. Most common fault: main PCB failures affecting one or more cooking zones.
Fridge
French door and freestanding. Most common fault: door seal and closure issues leading to ice buildup.

The Verdict
Anup
SENIOR TECHNICIAN
Miele’s reputation for being built to last generally holds up in what we see. Dishwashers and washing machines make up most of our Miele work, and on both, it comes down to the same thing more often than not, a blocked drain pump or filter, sometimes a foreign object that’s found its way in. It’s rarely a sign anything’s genuinely wrong with the appliance.
Ovens and cooktops are a different story, more electronic. Ovens tend to lose a temperature control encoder or knob assembly, and induction cooktops occasionally have a main PCB give out on one of the zones. Dryers are usually a heating fault, a relay board or sensor, though sometimes it’s as simple as a dislodged selector knob. Across the board, Miele parts aren’t the cheapest, but the faults themselves are usually single, identifiable components rather than anything that should put you off the brand.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from our Brisbane customers.
These codes usually point to a water flow meter fault rather than anything serious. It’s a common, well-understood issue on Miele dishwashers, and the part is one we carry on the van, so it’s typically sorted in a single visit.
Yes, and the two we reach for most, drain pumps and water flow meters, are already on our vans, so those faults are usually sorted same day. Other parts, like oven or cooktop components, take a bit longer, usually 5 to 7 business days.
In most cases, yes. Miele appliances are built to last, and the faults we see are almost always a single worn part rather than a sign the whole unit is failing. We assess the appliance’s age, condition and part availability before recommending anything, and where a repair genuinely isn’t worthwhile, we’ll say so.
Miele’s a premium brand, so our service call for Miele repairs is $220 + GST. That covers the first 30 minutes on site, whether that’s diagnosing the fault or getting the repair done outright. Anything extra, more labour or parts, gets quoted before we go ahead, and if we need to come back with an ordered part, there’s no second call-out fee.
Every Miele repair comes with 3 months warranty on the labour and 12 months on any parts we fit. If the same problem shows up again in that time, we’ll come back and fix it, no charge.
