LG repairs across Brisbane

Quality appliance repair services for LG appliances across metropolitan Brisbane, including fridges, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers, with same-day appointments available in most suburbs. Repairs start from our $180 + GST domestic service call, which covers up to 30 minutes of diagnosis or qualified repair work on the first visit. Parts and any additional labour are quoted separately before further work proceeds. There is no additional call-out fee for a return visit when a part needs to be ordered.

LG Electronics is a South Korean multinational and one of the largest home appliance manufacturers in the world. Its Home Appliance and Air Solution division produces fridges, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers, among other appliances. LG appliances are generally well engineered, and most of the faults we see are targeted component failures, such as a drain pump, a drum roller or a control panel, rather than whole of appliance breakdowns.

LG is one of the most common brands we service across Brisbane kitchens and laundries, and fridges make up the largest share of our LG callouts nationally. The following categories are drawn from our job logs.

Fridge

French door and freestanding. Most common fault: dispenser and ice maker faults (fan motor, microswitch, button lever assembly), along with defrost heater or sensor failures causing the fridge to stop cooling while the freezer stays fine.

Washing Machine

Front loaders. Most common fault: drain hose and drain pump issues, along with inlet hose or water pressure faults affecting fill and drain cycles.

Dryer

Heat pump units. Most common fault: drum roller or drum wheel wear, causing banging noise and black marks left on clothes.

Dryer

Heat pump and combo units. Most common fault: pulley wheel wear and heating element failure.

Dishwasher

Freestanding and underbench. Most common faults: door latch and switch assembly faults, and drain hose connection leaks at the fitting.

Here’s how commonly required parts are handled, including what may be available for the first visit and what may need to be ordered.

The Verdict

LG’s real strength is fridges; that’s where most of our callouts come from, and the defrost heater or sensor is almost always the culprit when one stops cooling properly or starts icing up. It’s a straightforward part to source and fit, nothing that should worry anyone about the appliance’s overall quality.

Washing machines are next, and here it’s usually the drain pump or an inlet valve rather than anything electronic, both simple, same-visit fixes in most cases. Dishwashers follow a similar drainage pattern. Dryers are the smallest part of our LG work, but when we do get called out, it’s almost always a drum roller causing noise or marking on clothes, worn rollers rather than a design issue.

Common questions from our Brisbane customers.

Are LG parts available in Australia?

Yes. LG maintains a strong local parts and service network, and several of our most commonly used LG parts, including washing machine drain pumps, dryer drum rollers and dishwasher door latches, are carried directly on our vans for same-day fixes. Other parts, such as fridge components, are typically sourced within 1 to 3 business days.

Is it worth repairing an older LG appliance, or should I replace it?

In most cases, yes. LG appliances are generally well built, and the faults we see are usually single-component issues rather than a sign the whole appliance is failing. We assess the appliance’s age, condition and part availability before recommending anything, and where a repair is genuinely not worthwhile, we’ll tell you rather than push a repair that doesn’t make sense.

How much does an LG appliance repair cost in Brisbane?

Our standard domestic service call for LG appliances is $180 + GST, covering up to 30 minutes of diagnosis or qualified repair work on the first visit. Anything beyond that, additional labour or parts, is quoted separately before we proceed, and there’s no extra call-out fee if we need to return with an ordered part.

How long does an LG repair take in Brisbane?

Most jobs are wrapped up in a single visit. Faults involving parts we carry on the van are usually same day, while fridge repairs and anything needing an ordered part typically take 1 to 3 business days.

What warranty do you offer on LG appliance repairs in Brisbane?

All LG repairs are backed by 3 months warranty on labour and 12 months warranty on any parts supplied. If the same fault reoccurs within that window, we’ll come back and sort it at no extra cost.
